OnePlus wants you to “never settle” when it comes to your smartphone … especially the iPhone.
On Tuesday, Dec.1, the company announced that its Sandstone case — the signature finish for its flagship line — is now available for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, all for a special holiday price of $19.99.
Sandstone has become synonymous with OnePlus with Time Magazine once even raving that the ‘Sandstone Black’ option of the OnePlus 2’s back cover “feels something like a smooth sandpaper that’s grippy, but also comfortable” and flat out “that good.”
OnePlus itself even commented as part of Tuesday’s announcement that “if Sandstone were a fictional character, it would probably be Jon Snow — rough, yet charming, and one-of-a-kind (and definitely not dead).” What a description.
The accompanying advertisement of the OnePlus Sandstone iPhone Case sells the case as an experience over it being simply a smartphone case, describing the guy we all know who does any and everything to protect and be there for his friends, with the company imploring consumers to be like him so “you got it covered,” whatever situation you may find yourself in.
“Most people don’t know what they’re missing out on and — let’s face it — most people are OK with that,” OnePlus says as part of the announcement of its new case. “If you’re reading this, it’s unlikely that you’re most people. ”
