How to Register for a CrossFit Competition
There are many ways to enter a CrossFit competition, but the most common way is to register on the CrossFit website. You can also find registration links on the CrossFit Facebook page and on IG accounts of popular CrossFit gyms.
Once you have registered, you will need to provide your name, email address, phone number and the name of the gym where you compete. You will also be asked to provide your age, weight and height.
The next step is to create a WOD (workout of the day). You will need to choose a weightlifting or conditioning exercise and a skill movement. You can find step-by-step instructions for creating a WOD on the CrossFit website. After you create your WOD, make sure that it is scaled appropriately for your level of fitness. You can find information about scaling WODs on the CrossFit website.
Once you have completed your WOD, you will need to upload it to the CrossFit website. Make sure that you include your age group, weight group and gender in your title and description. You can also include a picture of yourself performing the WOD. Finally, make sure that you complete

What is Crossfit?

The Crossfit Competition Format
Crossfit is a challenging, fitness-oriented program that emphasizes functional movement. The sport of crossfit is divided into three rounds: the Open, the Regionals, and the CrossFit Games. Athletes compete in events such as the CrossFit Open–a standard workout consisting of five stations–the CrossFit Competition–a scaled-down version of the Open, and the CrossFit Games, which is a 20-event competition that culminates with the championship event.
The top athletes in each division (Open, Regionals, and Games) advance to the CrossFit Games. The top athletes in each division (Open, Regionals, and Games) receive points based on their finish position at the Open and Regional competitions. Athletes with more points at the end of the season are ranked first through fourth.
As of March 1st, 2017, there are a total of 128 athletes who have qualified for the CrossFit Games. Of these 128 athletes, only 54 athletes will compete in Madison Square Garden this September. Here is a look at how all of these athletes qualify for the CrossFit Games:

What are the CrossFit quarterfinals all about?
The CrossFit quarterfinals are the final stage of the CrossFit Open season. The eight best males and females in the world compete in a series of three events: the CrossFit Open 13.1, the CrossFit Open 15.3, and the CrossFit Games Open 17.3.
Each event is a scaled-down version of one of the CrossFit Games events. The Open 13.1 is a workout comprising of five rounds of four minutes each, with a minute-long break between each round. The Open 15.3 is a workout comprising of five rounds of three minutes each, with a two-minute break between each round. The Games Open 17.3 is a workout comprising of fifteen rounds of two minutes each, with no break between rounds.
The winner of each event is determined by points scored in that event, as well as their finish in every other event combined (except for the CrossFit Games Open 17.3, which has a different point system).
In order to win a CrossFit quarterfinal, athletes must first qualify by placing among the top eight athletes at their regional competition. After qualifying, athletes compete in one event at a time until they reach the finals
The Top CrossFit Quarterfinalists
The CrossFit Games quarterfinal stage is now complete, and the top eight athletes in each division are moving on to the CrossFit Games playoffs. Here is a look at the leaderboard for the men’s and women’s divisions as of Saturday night.
For men, there are six athletes remaining in the competition. Braden Kapp, Grant Lindsley, Tyler McCarroll, Colton Miller, James Silva and Zach Wissemann are all still competing. Kapp is currently in first place with a total score of 2165 points, Lindsley is second with 2098 points, McCarroll is third with 2020 points, Miller is fourth with 1740 points, Silva is fifth with 1660 points and Wissemann is sixth with 1530 points.
As for women, there are four athletes remaining in the competition. Brooke Wells, Annie Thorisdottir, Kara Webb and Gabrielle Douglas are all still competing. Wells is currently in first place with a total score of 2510 points, Thorisdottir is second with 2490 points, Webb is third with 2360 points and Douglas is fourth with 2270 points.

The CrossFit Games are almost here! This year’s quarterfinals will take place this weekend, and we have a leaderboard for you to check out.
