The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) released the merit list, subject wise pass percentage, toppers and result statistics of the Class 10 examination today, May 22, on the official website, pseb.ac.in
Results statistics:
- Total candidates appeared: 330437
- Total candidates passed: 190001
- Number of girls (appeared): 146458
- Number of boys (appeared): 183979.
As published by the board, in this year’s Punjab Class 10 board results, Shruti Vohra, a student of Ropar’s DAV Public Senior Secondary School topped with flying colours.
Topper’s score:
Marks: 642 marks
Percentage: 98.77 per cent
Other toppers:
Second position: Amit Yadav, who scored 98.62 per cent i.e. 641 marks, bagged the second position.
Third position: Simmi Kumari of Sai Public Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana scored 98.31 per cent.
Sports category:
First position: Under the sports category, Amandeep Verma of BCM Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana secured the first rank by scoring 99.08 per cent.
Second position: Jyoti Panwar, also from BCM Senior Secondary School, secured the second rank with 98.62 per cent
Third position: Nancy, a student of Play Ways Senior Secondary School, Patiala scored 98.31 per cent.
This year, the class 10 boards were held from March 14 to March 29 at various test centres across the state. Last year, the pass percentage was at 72.25 per cent with girls performing better than boys who secured a pass percentage of 78.03.
