Samsung has just launched sequels for the India-exclusive Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7. The new models are Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro and Galaxy On7 Pro and offer minor hardware upgrades plus latest Android Marshmallow.
Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro
The new Galaxy On5 Pro keeps its 5″ 720p TFT LCD and is powered by the same Exynos 3475 Quad chip with a quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 and Mali-T720 GPU. The RAM has been bumped from 1.5GB up to 2GB, while the internal storage has been doubled at 16GB.
The rest of the Galaxy On5 Pro remain the same – an 8MP main camera and a 5MP selfie one, 4G LTE connectivity, dual-SIM support, and a 2,600 mAh battery. The latest Android Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Galaxy On5 Pro and it supports the S-Bike Mode and Ultra Data Saving Mode.
Samsung is selling the Galaxy On5 Pro on Amazon already and you can have it Black or Gold for INR 9,190 or $137.
Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro
You bet the Galaxy On7 Pro looks at lot like its predecessor and focuses on memory upgrades and new software tricks. It utilizes a 5.5″ 720p LCD and a Snapdragon 410 chip with a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A53 processor with Adreno 306 GPU. The Pro moniker ups the RAM to 2GB and doubles the storage for a total amount of 16GB.
The rest of the specs are identical with the On7 – a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter, 4G LTE and dual-SIM connectivity, a 3,000 mAh battery, and Android Marshmallow out of the box.
Just like the On5 Pro, the On7 Pro is available for purchase on Amazon – both Black and Gold flavors are in stock and cost INR 11,190 or $167.
