The year 2017 had been promising for the car makers as the fact that the companies posted good volumes and sales this year. As, we are heading towards the end of the year, the car makers are awaiting to launch multiple products in the country. Tata Nexon: To take on the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport, Tata Motors is all geared up to launch the Nexon compact SUV in the Indian market on 21st September, 2017. Based on Tata’s popular IMPACT design language, the sub-4m SUV will be offered in both petrol and diesel power guises. In order to make the sub-compact SUV more competitive in nature, Tatawill equip it with both manual and automatic transmission units, however, the AMT iteration will launch on the later stage. Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Facelift: After making an impact in the premium crossover space, Maruti Suzuki India is all geared up to launch the facelifted version of S-Cross in the country. Expected to launch by the end of this month, the dealers have initiated the pre-bookings for the crossover ahead of its launch. Retaining the same dimensions, the facelifted S-Cross will updated in terms of design as well as mechanical front. It will be offered in two engine options – 1.3-litre DDiS and 1.0-litre BoosterJet or 1.5-litre M15A petrol unit. As the S-Cross facelift will be more premium than the current model, we speculate that it would be priced in the slot of INR 8 lakh to INR 13 lakh (ex-showroom).

2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift: One of the highly anticipated launched of the year 2017 has to be that of the 2018 Maruti Swift. An all new vehicle from the ground up, the 2017 Swift will be a huge upgrade on its previous generations. Unveiled last week in Japan, the next-gen Swift will be made available with a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel mil with both manual and automatic transmission will be on offer. Loaded up-to-the brim with features, the 2017 Swift will be launched in India around the festive season this year. Prices are expected to fall in the bracket of INR 4.5 to 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda Kodiaq: To take on the likes of premium 7-seater vehicles, Skoda will be launching its all new and first ever premium full size SUV, the Kodiaq in the Indian car market. Set to make its debut sometimes in the second half of 2017, the Kodiaq is likely to be powered by both petrol and diesel derivatives. Offered with the practicality of a 7-seater vehicle, the same will be loaded up to the brim with features. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Petrol: After a monumental success of the Vitara Brezza SUV, that too only in the diesel guise, Maruti will be launching the petrol powered version of the same in India this year. Expected to be launched in the second half of 2017, the Brezza petrol could either be powered by the 1.0-litre Boosterjet or the 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engine. Apart from the introduction of new derivative, the rest of the vehicle will remain the same as before. The prices of the Vitara Brezza petrol are likely to start from INR 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
