Sigh of relief at RJD camp as Lalu Prasad’s health recovers

Amedical update from Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) on Lalu Prasad Yadav’s health has come as a sigh of relief for his family members and RJD supporters.

Last week, the RJD supremo had undergone surgery for an abscess on his buttock and subsequently was administered with antibiotic for the drying up of wound. While the functioning of his kidney deteriorated after the surgery, doctors now say that his kidney is functioning better.

Earlier, only 37 per cent of his kidney was working. RJD supporter became jittery when doctors had earlier announced that Lalu’s health was deteriorating after the surgery.

However, all indicators are now showing signs of recovery, said Dr DK Jha who added that Lalu’s health is improving. Jha furthers said that Lalu’s appetite for food has increased and that he is sleeping well.

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s kidney function is now moving towards the baseline, which is a sign of recovery.

Earlier, 50 per cent of his kidney was alright by dipped when he was administered with antibiotics after the surgery.

Now, at least 40 per cent of his kidney is working perfectly, said the doctors.

Many senior leaders including Upendra Kushwaha, Bhola Ray and Ranvijay Singh visited Lalu Prasad Yadav at the hospital. Lalu has been admitted for more than a year in the RIMs private ward after he his conviction in the fodder scam.
