Google Stadia: Here are all the games coming to Google’s gaming service

Google Stadia

Months after first launching its gaming service – Google Stadia – on stage Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2019 in San Francisco, Google on June 6 finally unveiled key details about the service. At the time of the launch, Google had announced that Stadia, the gaming service that would be powered by the company’s data centres, would be available in select countries by the end of the year. At Thursday’s event – Stadia Connect – the Mountain View headquartered company revealed that 14 countries would be getting access to Stadia Pro, which is the paid tier of Google’s gaming service and costs $9.99 (Rs 690 approx) a month, in November 2019. The list includes US, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the UK.

Besides Stadia Pro, Google also unveiled Stadia Base, which is the free tier of the company’s gaming service. Unlike Stadia Pro, which will provide up to 4K HDR resolution with a frame rate of 60 fps at 5.1 Surround Sound, Stadia Base will offer a resolution of up to 1080p with a frame rate of 60fps. While the service will be free, gamers would still have to pay to purchase games of their choice. It will be available in 2020.

Then there is Google Stadia Founder’s Edition which will cost $129 (Rs 8,900 approx) and it will give gamers a three month access to Stadia Pro, a Chromecast Ultra and a limited edition night blue Stadia Controller among other things.

The interesting thing about Stadia Pro is that it includes the entire Destiny 2 package — the base game, previous add-ons, the annual pass and the upcoming Shadowkeep expansion. This means that all gamers – despite of all the games that they pick — will get access to this package.

But Destiny 2 is not the only game coming to the Google Stadia. In case you are curious, here the entire list of games coming to Google’s gaming service:
